KANGER GHATI NATIONAL PARK, CHHATTISGARH
Name 'Kanger ghati' is derived from Kanger river valley, cut by Kanger river flowing through the length of the national park.
Kanger Valley got the status of national park in 1982.
Flora - Mixed humid deciduous forests having Sal, Sagaun, teak and bamboo trees.
Fauna - Bastar Myna, is a type of Hill myna, which is capable of emulating human voices. It is the state bird of Chattisgarh.
Kanger ghati national park has is well known for its subterranean (underground) limestone caves.
It has three exceptional caves having stalactite and stalagmite formations - Kutumbsar, Kailash and Dandak.
Tirathgarh Waterfall is located in Kanger Ghati National Park.
